What it does

Pixelmin processes video files and tries to reduce the file size efficiently. You add your videos, and it will compress the files which you can download immediately after it completes.

Multiple files can be queued at once. The compression engine processes them one at a time to avoid overloading your device, with real-time progress shown for each.

Behind the scenes, it first attempts to use the specific codec chips on your GPU first because it's more efficient. Your device may or may not have a hardware-accelerated GPU for the process, so it may fallback to use CPU for processing.

Codec compatibility

When processing the videos, Pixelmin use codecs available in your device. If you try to compress a video file which the codec is not available in your device, then the processing may fail.
But generally, if the video was taken using your device, then it should work without problems, because that video file is created using a codec on your device.

Privacy by design

Your files never leave your browser. There are no uploads & no cloud processing of your files. The entire compression pipeline runs inside your device.

We don't collect, store, nor transmit videos you compress. We understand your privacy, and we respect it. The processing is done locally in your device.

Open and free

Pixelmin is free to use. There are no file size limits imposed by the application itself — your only limit is the memory & storage available on your device.

If you encounter a problem, please kindly letting us know so that we can improve this service for the world.
