Everything you need to know about Pixelmin video compression, privacy, and compatibility.
Pixelmin is an efficient & privacy-friendly video compression tool, which reduces the filesize of your video files significantly without uploading your videos to any server, using your own device processing power.
Pixelmin is considered the first video compression tool which could achieve these 5 criterias within one product:
Pixelmin compress your videos in the same resolution.
So 4K videos would still be 4K videos, 1080p videos would still be 1080p videos, etc.
Click "Add Videos" above, then choose the video you want to compress, and wait. After the compression is done, press the Save button to save it.
No, it doesn't. And if you feel satisfied with the new smaller-sized videos, you can always delete the old videos by yourself afterwards to save some space in your device.
Yes, it is real. In many cases it even hits 90%++ reduction rate.
Pixelmin works best to compress the videos taken from the same device.
In the other hand, compressing videos coming from another device may also work but not guaranteed. This is due to possible cases of codec incompatibility between devices.
When doing video processing, Pixelmin needs to construct the video chunks by writing them in your filesystem temporarily, and delete it afterwards. By doing this way, the RAM consumption could be reduced significantly.
But unfortunately, incognito & private browsing prevents write access to the filesystem, which is why Pixelmin does not work in incognito/private browsing.
Please send the "Report Problem" above to inform us about the problem you encountered, along with your device type, what browser you're using, screenshots, and if possible the small part of video sample (3-5 seconds) so we could diagnose the problem.
Yes, you could use it for free. But we don't take responsibility of the materials you're using. Please only use it for good deeds.
